This Policy explains exactly what is kept in your browser when you visit miridar.md, for how long, who sets each item, and how you change your choice. The inventory below is verified against the real site, not against what the code was meant to do.
1. What cookies and local storage are
Cookies are small files a site keeps in your browser. Alongside them we use localStorage and sessionStorage — two mechanisms the browser uses to remember information without sending it with every request to the server.
We treat them together, because from your side they raise the same question: what is kept about you, and who decides that. Something not being technically a cookie does not take it out of this Policy.
2. Strictly necessary
These make the site work and remember your choice from the consent banner. We do not ask your permission for them, because without them we cannot provide the service you asked for. You cannot switch them off in the banner, but you can delete them from your browser at any time.
| Name | Type | What it does | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
i18n_redirected | cookie | remembers the language you prefer the site in | 1 year | MiriDar |
miridar-consent | localStorage | stores your choice, in an object carrying the version and date of the decision | until you delete it; expires after 12 months regardless | MiriDar |
miridar-widget-reload:<path> | sessionStorage | counts reload attempts when the contact form does not render on the first try | until you close the tab | MiriDar |
The third row is written only on the /contact page, and only if the form does not load on the first attempt. On normal visits it never appears.
3. Traffic analysis
We enable these only after you press “Accept all” or switch on “Traffic analysis” in Settings and save your choice. Until then no Google script is loaded and no analytics cookie is written. This is not a setting applied later — the script is simply not requested.
| Name | Type | What it does | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
_ga | cookie | tells visitors apart, for aggregate statistics | 2 years | |
_ga_TRZQHX4V36 | cookie | keeps session state for our Google Analytics 4 property | 2 years |
We use Google Analytics 4 with IP anonymisation and Consent Mode v2 booted in the “denied” state. We are interested in aggregate figures: which pages get read and from what kind of device, not who you are.
When you withdraw consent we actually delete these cookies, not merely stop the script. Stopping alone would not be enough: _ga is written on the domain with a two-year lifetime and would survive a reload, so you would still be carrying the identifier this Policy says was removed.
4. The contact form and the contact window
On the /contact page we load a form hosted on our own infrastructure, at app.miridar.com. On the other pages a contact window from the same source may appear after roughly 20 seconds.
The two are treated differently, and it is worth knowing why. The form on /contact is the content of that page: you navigated there precisely in order to write to us, so it loads without a separate permission. The window that appears over the content on the other pages is not something you asked for, so it loads only if you enable “Contact window” in Settings.
The contact window never loads on legal pages, /legal/*. A notice you have to dismiss something in order to read is not a notice.
| Item | Type | What it receives | Duration | Provider |
|---|---|---|---|---|
app.miridar.com | external frame (iframe) | the address of the page it opened from, the referring page, the page language and the site origin | set by that provider | MiriDar |
We do not invent cookie names here: what that frame writes in its own context belongs to our application infrastructure and is described in that service's own documents.
5. Fonts
The site's fonts are hosted on our own servers. Simply visiting the site does not send your IP address to any font provider, and displaying the page involves no external service.
We say so explicitly because it is not the default situation: most sites load fonts from a CDN, and that hands over every visitor's IP address, before any consent, purely so the page can be displayed.
6. What we do not use
To be clear by exclusion as well, on miridar.md there are no:
- advertising or remarketing cookies;
- social network tracking pixels, including the Meta/Facebook Pixel;
- heatmaps or session recording, of the Hotjar or Microsoft Clarity kind;
- cross-site tracking or sale of browsing data;
- third-party video embeds.
If we ever introduce anything from this list, we add it to the inventory above in the same update that switches it on, not afterwards.
7. How you give and how you withdraw consent
On your first visit a banner appears with three options: “Accept all”, “Reject all” and “Settings”. The three buttons have the same size, colour, border and visual weight. The banner does not block reading: you can go through any page, including this one, without pressing anything.
In Settings, the two optional categories are off by default and are chosen separately. The strictly necessary category is shown but has no switch, and says there why.
Once you choose, the banner closes. If you did not accept everything, a round button with a cookie icon stays in the bottom-left corner — press it at any time to reopen Settings. If you accepted everything the button disappears, because there is nothing left to change with it; in that case use the “Cookie preferences” link in the footer of any page.
Withdrawing is exactly as easy as granting, from any page. Your choice expires after 12 months and we ask again; and if we add a new category, the old consent does not automatically stretch to cover it.
8. Browser controls
Independently of our banner, you can delete or block cookies in your browser settings. Blocking the strictly necessary ones may stop the site remembering your chosen language, or make it ask you about cookies again on every visit.
In private mode some browsers do not allow writing to localStorage at all. The site works, but it cannot remember your choice, so the banner reappears on your next visit.
9. Changes to this Policy
If we introduce a new tool that writes anything which is not strictly necessary, we update this Policy and ask for your consent before enabling it.
We always publish the version and the effective date at the head of the document. Previous versions stay accessible and are not changed retroactively — a text you once read must remain reproducible exactly as it was.
